I think the 50mm 1.8 is ok, but I have read a lot of reviews on both, the 1.8 and 1.4. There is a significant difference in the sharpness on the edges and the outside of the lense is higher quality with the 1.4. I guess you can call it longer lasting. I don't mind the 1.8 imn any case and I think most pictures that I have seen, look pretty and I couldn't see too big differences, but it depends on how you want to use it. I think for fashion blogging it is quite good, but I really just wanted to treat myself with a great lense. In the end, even lenses by brands like sigma and nissin are fine, just depends on your needs.
Hope to see some pictures taken with the new camera and lense!AHeartandSoulStorynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319647982680983416.post-31487437436619674042013-07-03T15:21:04.295+02:002013-07-03T15:21:04.295+02:00very pretty! i like this outfit! it flatters you...very pretty! i like this outfit! it flatters you well!mark a.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319647982680983416.post-16628439084642432142013-07-03T04:30:10.005+02:002013-07-03T04:30:10.005+02:00Hey Anja, I've ordered a Canon 650D (they had ...Hey Anja, I've ordered a Canon 650D (they had a good sale on a lens bundle for it) and I'm excited for it to arrive! I plan on sticking with the 50mm 1.8 for now - is the 1.4 significantly better?Jennhttp://almostfantastical.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319647982680983416.post-36046097315555440792013-07-02T21:58:56.233+02:002013-07-02T21:58:56.233+02:00thx so much Jan! I feel always terrible as this time of year work is extremely stressful and I read the blogs on my phone. Commenting doesn't work with the bad train connection. But I really need to give some of the ladies a shoutout. Thanks for the little wake up!!AHeartandSoulStorynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319647982680983416.post-49892946051403641602013-07-02T21:56:45.558+02:002013-07-02T21:56:45.558+02:00Hey Jenn

But this time, I felt really comfortable.
And thx for that nice comment about my pictures. Actually I don't use a tripod and remote, even though I got both at home. But in the end the pictures are just too stiff when doing it with a tripod and/or it takes loads of time to re-adjust it. I am one of those lucky girls with a talented guy behind the camera, though it wasn't his idea. I am really into photography and he haspicked it up on the way. I normally direct him and he knows me so well, knows what I want in my pictures.
The camera is a Canon 550D and I have had it for 2,5 years with no troubles at all. The lense is a EOS 50mm 1.4 and worth every cent. I have gotten the tip to buy a relatively good but cheap camera and invest in the quality lenses. I will upgrade to a better camera on day (maybe one with a movable screen and some more tools), but this one is doing a
great job now.
Are you looking into buying a SLR?AHeartandSoulStorynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319647982680983416.post-33010916199439209402013-07-02T21:45:42.308+02:002013-07-02T21:45:42.308+02:00thank you so much for the compliment.
