Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Today was a gray day with only little sun. I have been spoiled by a lot of warmth and sunlight during the last days and it was weird to wake up to a gray haze.

For Day 9 of the 30 for 30 challenge, I went with something pretty, but comfy, as the weather didn’t look too great. I also spend a big part of my day at the library, returning books from the exams and searching for some for the thesis. The pretty shirt enhanced the Jeans combo and of course my favorite cardigan was a really nice addition to the overall look.

I almost forgot what day it is today. The studies had me lose track a bit. But of course, it is Awkward and Awesome Thursday. I am so glad that I started participating in Sydney’s cool cue to collect all things awkward and awesome that happened to a person. It is really refreshing to read and shows how crazy, strange, funny and amazing life can be. Here are my picks:  

Awkward

• Handing in your phone to have it repaired only to have it returned broken. Handing it back in - on second return: The broken part was finally ok, but something else was broken by the repair service
• Forgetting about the sun set and nearly missing it – almost screwed up the outfit photos!
• Talking to a neighbor, whom you hadn’t seen in 2 months – her suspecting you had moved out. Ever heard of different schedules?
• Laughing at a friend for forgetting her wallet at home and having to run back to get it. Later that day having the same think happening to oneself – Coincidence?

Awesome

• My new phone – seems to be even better than the old (broken) one
• Finishing the last exam of all time (at least of my masters) and making yourself and your family so proud
• Waking up before the alarm clock and not being tired at all, then staying in your PJ’s till lunch
• Soy Chai Latte and Muffins with flatmates
• Returning tons of books to the library – less weight not just in the bag, but also on the shoulders
• Swapping some cool shoes
• An afternoon on the playground
• Free time to read new books (a review will follow) and favorite blogs
