Burgund for Winter

1-IMG_9506-001

This dress has been my favourite these past months. I love the rose print and the comfort of the jersey top. It fits well and gives me a put together look that works well for work and for parties. Wore this on Christmas day and had all eyes on me. Sadly the skirt got stuck on the rose bushes on the way and I got a little tear in my skirt. Hope I can repair it.

LBD for Christmas

1-IMG_9632

Wearing all black for an advent dinner. This dress has been waiting for its' first outing for a couple of weeks and now it is finally time. I opted for all black and some pearl accessories to give it a classic look. The LBD is always a good idea to be well dressed. This new version with its' eyelet fabric is not too chic and will work well also as an office outfit with some less fancy accessories.

Autumn look

It's been a while since I posted here on the blog. Time has been against me and the blog. I started a new job in August and it has been more than difficult to have time to take photos to post. I needed this little break to adjust, but I hope to start posting more regularly once again. I have some plans for 2020 and want to start posting not just outfit posts but also include more lifestyle and day to day photography. Let's see where 2020 will take me and the blog. I just hope to keep this hobby going once again and find enough time to blog.

This look has been one of my favourites during this Autumn time and I feel pretty comfortable wearing it during a day at work as well as for a lunch date with Mr.B. I have been neglecting my pencil skirts a bit and preferred my full skirted dresses, but I still have a soft spot for pencil skirts for a good office look.

Flannel dress - yes, please!

1-IMG_7416

This Spring we have been experiencing ups and downs in weather that made me keep my warmer dresses out for just a bit longer and it gives me an excuse to introduce my lumberjack flannel dress here on the blog. I love the soft fabric and I feel instantly well-dressed for work. It is one of my more casual pieces, but it is oh so comfortable. In combination with black accessories it works really well and I can see myself wearing this a lot in Autumn and Winter as well. During that day it was especially cold and I added this warm and fluffy sweater to the outfit. It kept me nice and warm all day. Definitely had to pack that one away already, but it will be back out in Autumn for sure.

Polkadots are always a good idea

1-IMG_7613-001

During the Easter weekend we spent a lot of time with family and it was the perfect time to take my new favourite polkadot dress for a spin. I always feel like celebrations with family call for a nice dress and this look was just right for a nice afternoon with my favourite people. I do love polkadots and will get a ton of wear out of this dress, but I always save my new dresses for a special occasion to wear it the first time and give it a special memory, too. Am I the only one who does that?! I also added my new glasses from Zeelool to the look as it worked so well with the black and red. I call them my Batman glasses that work really nicely with my more rockabilly inspired outfits. I have been on the lookout for some special glasses frames for a while, but in Germany cateye glasses seem to be a novelty and I had to look online. I am pretty happy with the frames and got my local optician to put in my prescription as I was not sure if my old one was still fitting. Next time I might get them with prescription from Zeelool.

Pinks and Blues for Spring

1-IMG_5715

We are currently experiencing the real April weather. One day it is sunny with almost 20 degrees Celcius and the next day we experience minus degrees, snow, hail and all kinds of weird combinations. The first flowers do blossom, but this cold destroys most of them quickly and we do have lots of grey days where only bright colors can chear up the mood. I tend to wear something more colorful during those days and this is one of those looks. This dress is easy to throw on for work or a coffee date with friends and the blue peplum jacket is a definite favourite with all my swing dresses and skirts. This might just turn into one of my staples for 2019. What are your tips for grey days?

Transitioning to Spring in red and blue

1-IMG_7185

While the snow has been melting, I can't get enough of the cold. I love dressing up in layers, even though I don't like the minus degrees too much. The early Spring days with warmer temperatures that still call for tights, but allow you to wear dresses and lighter jackets, those are my favourites. I did injure my foot during Autumn and just now can wear most of my shoes again. How I missed my Mary Janes! I do own this style in 6 colours now and love how comfortable they are while giving me just a couple of cms for height (which I really don't need at 6'3'', but a heel gives such a nice look). Once again blue and burgundy works well for me during the colder months and this look has been a staple for work and weekend events as well.

Winter to Spring

1-IMG_7115

It's been a minute since I last posted here and it felt ok to be away from blogging for a while. I needed to think about what I want to do with this place for the future. It has been more than 8 years since I started blogging on a regular basis and have been sharing fashion and a little bit of lifestyle here ever since. Change has been on my mind and it needs to come this year. I haven't fully figured it out yet, but I have missed blogging in the meantime and want to do the changes on the go. I hope you come along again on this journey. We took these photos when it was still snowing here and though we just had the official start of Spring, it is still grey and dark most days with the odd warm and sunny day in between. I wore some of my old favourites for this day and felt quite comfortable with these classics. Burgundy red just always works with black and this combination stands for my traditional winter colours.

Fashion Archives - New Years Eve look

1-IMG_1493

This year we spent our New Years Eve in Finland in the middle of nowhere in the ice-cold with a snow storm fast approaching. I definitely didn't wear something extremely fancy and therefore have no outfit photos to share, BUT and now this is funny, I forgot to post the look from last year even though I had taken some photos from that night. Still love that look and would wear it all over again would I still own that shirt (RIP). The skirt used to be an 80s bodycon dress with that itchy glitter material, but I had it made into a skirt which has been a staple in my closet ever since. Perfect for the festive season and then one needs something super comfortable with elastic waist that doesn't look like it one bit. I added a similar skirt with sequins to my closet this year and wore it a lot during our Christmas outings. What is your uniform for special occasions where you still want to feel comfortable aka you gotta eat a lot?
