Burgund for Winter

1-IMG_9506-001

This dress has been my favourite these past months. I love the rose print and the comfort of the jersey top. It fits well and gives me a put together look that works well for work and for parties. Wore this on Christmas day and had all eyes on me. Sadly the skirt got stuck on the rose bushes on the way and I got a little tear in my skirt. Hope I can repair it.

LBD for Christmas

1-IMG_9632

Wearing all black for an advent dinner. This dress has been waiting for its' first outing for a couple of weeks and now it is finally time. I opted for all black and some pearl accessories to give it a classic look. The LBD is always a good idea to be well dressed. This new version with its' eyelet fabric is not too chic and will work well also as an office outfit with some less fancy accessories.

Pinks and Blues for Spring

1-IMG_5715

We are currently experiencing the real April weather. One day it is sunny with almost 20 degrees Celcius and the next day we experience minus degrees, snow, hail and all kinds of weird combinations. The first flowers do blossom, but this cold destroys most of them quickly and we do have lots of grey days where only bright colors can chear up the mood. I tend to wear something more colorful during those days and this is one of those looks. This dress is easy to throw on for work or a coffee date with friends and the blue peplum jacket is a definite favourite with all my swing dresses and skirts. This might just turn into one of my staples for 2019. What are your tips for grey days?

French Girl vibes

1-IMG_1890

I love France and Paris is one of my favourite cities that I've ever visited. I can't wait to see this beautiful place again soon and I am already getting into the mood by dressing a little bit more like those beautiful French girls and ladies. Of course, I will probably never manage that look quite as nicely, but I do think black and white stripes plus a little red never hurts nobody. This is my new favourite dress from Eshakti at the moment tht has quickly stole the spot of my old favourite LBD and I can see myself wearing this a lot during the upcoming Spring and Summer months. It even works in Winter! I had tried Eshakti once before and love their custom offer where you can order dresses fit to your specific measurements. Since working with them, I have ordered three more custom dresses and this is one of them. I love the heavy cotton fabric and the custom option is amazing or all ladies out there like myself that don't fit the average of a size 6 with slim legs etc. I am currently on the hunt for one or two summer dresses, let's see what I will order next!
I paired the look with simple pearls, some white accessories and as an eyecatcher my new red velvet moto jacket.

Winter is in town

1-IMG_0816

Winter is my favourite season. I am a winter child, was born in January and love me some snow. I always wish for snow during Christmas, but these past years, we almost never had snow for that wonderful time of the year. Luckily Mr.B and I moved to a small village in the mountains last summer and this also means more snow!! So while everyone in my old hometown is dreaming of those white fields, we got them right in our backyard. It's beautiful, but of course brings some hassles as well, like to shovel snow. But Mr.B grew up with that and says it's a good workout, so I rarely have to do it myself. The snow makes for a great backdrop though and I got inspired to show you more outfits on this little blog once again. It was a bit more quiet here in 2017, due to our move and missing time, but I feel a lot more inspired now and want to get into a more frequent rythm once again. So here it goes, my first snowy post for 2018.

I wore my pretty tartan skirt by Vivien of Holloway and added a cardigan by the same brand to the look. Red and purple/green work really well together and that cardigan is an awesome staple in my wardrobe. I do need to add a couple more to my closet, as they got so many pretty colors. The wintery look wasn't complete without a woolen hat and scarf. This set was handmade by my mom. She is such a great crafter and I love all her knitted things. The brooch is something special that gives the cardigan a little something something. It was given to me by my mom and she got it from her mom at some point. Definitely a nice hand me down. I'll treasure it forever.

Red, black and gold

1-IMG_1145

When in doubt, wear some sparkles - that's my mantra! I do love dressing up for the festive season and plan my pretty looks in advance, but when I finally want to put the looks on, I often gravitate towards something much more comfortable, but then feel sad to give up the festiveness of the outfit. This skirt though brings back all the sparkles to any simple look. I have worn this particular outfit for several occasions this past festive season and switched it up just a bit for New Year's Eve as well.   The red shoes are my new favourite pair of heels. I do have this style in 5 different colors now as I do love the fit of them and for about 25€ you can't go wrong as they are so comfortable as well. The bag is my other favourite that Mr.B got me for Christmas. Definitely a smart choice and so pretty for upccoming events.

Florals with a view

1-IMG_7976

Oh well, it's almost Christmas and here is my final Autumn look! This is from a Saturday a couple weeks back when it was unusually warm and we went on a little furniture shopping trip to IKEA. As we have moved house during September, IKEA and other furniture retailers have been our second home, at least that is how it felt for a couple of weeks. Now, the house is slowly coming together and after Christmas we are planning a house warming party and I will share one or two posts of the new interior with you here.
Back to the outfit - I love this dress during summer, but actually really like it for Autumn with some boots as well. It works extremely well with tan and copper accessories. Who cares about this "tan and black don't go together" rule anymays. I will definitely wear this combination again and might try a winter look in the upcoming weeks with some snow.

Red Leaves

1-IMG_8050

This Autumn has been gone in literally now time. We have had so much to do with the move that we barely had the chance to go out and enjoy the cooler Autumn weather, the colored leaves and I felt a bit sad about it. Luckily this whine leaves behind our house were there for at least one outfit look.
We did already have our first snow now and I am in the middle of preparing for my favourite "season" - Christmas!! I do wear this look featured in this post all the time now, though it is getting a bit too chilly for the thin tights and I have exchanged them for opaque ones. But a pretty pencil skirt and blouse are my work staples and I am so glad that my office rules let me wear almost everything (sans deep cleavage or too short hemline).

The cargo jacket has been a new favourite, definitely a great buy. Now, it's too cold for it alone, but I often wear these thin types of jackets as a cardigan at work and add another coat on top outdoors. The bucket bag on the other hand I did want for such a long time, but now that I have it, I don't really use it. Maybe it's the light color, but I might just not be that into trends anymore. I will keep it for the Spring/Summer, let's see what I think of it then!
