Winter to Spring

1-IMG_7115

It's been a minute since I last posted here and it felt ok to be away from blogging for a while. I needed to think about what I want to do with this place for the future. It has been more than 8 years since I started blogging on a regular basis and have been sharing fashion and a little bit of lifestyle here ever since. Change has been on my mind and it needs to come this year. I haven't fully figured it out yet, but I have missed blogging in the meantime and want to do the changes on the go. I hope you come along again on this journey. We took these photos when it was still snowing here and though we just had the official start of Spring, it is still grey and dark most days with the odd warm and sunny day in between. I wore some of my old favourites for this day and felt quite comfortable with these classics. Burgundy red just always works with black and this combination stands for my traditional winter colours.

Casual winter look

1-IMG_5953

Starting the new year with a wintery look. We are currently enjoying our vacation in Finland and I am so not dressing up for an entire week. But getting cosy is a neccessity. Therefore I need every layer possible. What is your favourite look for a casual and cozy day?

Snow Snow Snow

1-IMG_0861

I am the happiest person in snow! My favourite about winter is the white fluff on the ground and we finally live in an area that get's some snow during Winter. Of course, it's a bit of a hassle when driving and it can get pretty cold, but I am still a Winter person! I love dressing in layers as well. For this outfit, I wore my trusty pencil skirt, a striped shirt and a lot of nude and light pink woolen pieces. Perfect look for the cold season.

Merry Christmas 2017

1-IMG_0540

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas! This year my Christmas eve outfit was very comfortable and not too fancy. I do love a good dress for Christmas, but kept the look for Christmas Eve with my parents casual to sit around and eat all the good food my mother had prepared for us. Of course, a little red has to be in the look to keep the Christmas spirit up! Merry Christmas to you all!

My little photo bomber - Sisu, our sweet little cat, wanted to be in the photo as well! She doesn't like snow that much and jumped a lot around to come to me.

Pink Bohemian

1-IMG_3452

As I love this tree and its' blossoms, I just had to take more photos with it. It's the last for this year, promise! This dress is a new find and has been a pretty good one as I have searched for a nice maxi dress in a dark blue shade with short sleeves. Often, those summer maxi dresses just come with little straps and that's just not working for my office attire. We do have a pretty loose dress code, but too much cleavage just isn't ok for a teacher. Therefore, this one is a total keeper. I have paired it with my pink leather jacket here, but actually don't like the length with the dress and prefer my denim jacket, which sits more on my natural waist and not on my hips. A lot more flattering.

Lilac Roses

1-IMG_4133

My first find from our trip to London is this beautiful skirt with lilac roses by VivienofHolloway. I really love their products as they make everything in the UK and sew it according to original vintage patterns. Definitely on the more pricy side, but totally worth it. I adore the print and the color is just up my sleeve. The fabric is on the heavy side and nothing for the hot summer months, but it also means that a petticoat is not really needed to keep the form of the skirt. Definitely one of my new favourites!

Pink and Black Spring Look

1-IMG_2335

I am finally back in the game after my week in London. School trips are never an easy thing to do and I felt so tired after that week. Lot's of people always think that the life of a teacher is so nice, having so many days off, going on school trip aka. paid vacation and so on, but in reality that is just so much hard work. When you are running around an unknown city with 20 kids under 18 that have been given into your care and them just being carefree, well that makes you a mom of 20 with one foot in jail should anything happen to them. Let's call this anything but vacation right there ;)
I needed a lot of rest and spend some time with Mr.B and the family to get back in the game. This week also finally gave us some nice Spring/ early Summer weather and I love it. The look shown here is from the first week of April actually, which was the only nice week for the past 6 weeks or so and it felt silly to post those sunny pictures later on with snow and rain for the main part of last month. So finally sharing this look, which is a favourite every Spring and Autumn. This Lindy Bop Dress is a huge favourite, but has been discontinued in this print. What a shame, as it is such a beauty!
