Helsinki Day I - Flea market

Today was my first full day in Helsinki. I am currently staying at my friends J. and J's. place and they took me to the Helsinki Hietalahti Flea market, one of the bigger outdoor flea markets that are open every Sunday during summer. I was really lucky, even though we arrived late and a lot of the stands were packing up already. That was my luck as well, as they wanted to get rid of their things and I got really got bargains!

Later we went for lunch and walked around the city center a bit.

And finally, we took some funny hat pictures in Stockmann's, the biggest department store in the country.

Oh I adore that second hat! That's the kind of thing I would buy on a whim and then never ever have the chance to wear.

yeah, it'd such a cute hat. Really thought about buying it actually, but not the pink one, maybe in red or black. The occasion part is an issue, but I believe every day is worth dressing up for!
