This past weekend, I celebrated my 27th Birthday and for that occasion I hosted a little birthday bash for me and my closest friends. We celebrated in style and had a "Golden 20s" themed party. I had organized a buffet with small snacks and some beverages for my guests and we enjoyed talks and some wonderful music that fitted for dancing and worked well with the theme - Comedian Harmonists, Max Raabe, but also Adele and Duffy were quite the party boosters.
I had a total nightmare happening during the evening - my memory card broke and a lot of pictures from the beginning (close ups from the buffet, the room etc.) were lost. Luckily none of the guests had left, so we managed to re-capture some of the pictures, including outfit shots. Still sad that I can't show you the full buffet, but I think these photos can show just a bit what it has looked like during the evening.
I wore a vintage velvet dress that I had found at my second hand store just last week. I added a purple feather boa, a sparkling cigarette holder, a velvet clutch and a black fascinator.
Dress: vintage; Thifted
Feather boa: Thrifted
Velvet Clutch & Pearl Necklace: Heirloom from Grandma
Fascinator (on Sale for 1€): Seppälä; Helsinki
Tights: Ernstings Family
Shoes: Deichmann
Belt: H&M
Cigarette Holder: Ebay
I did my hair using a you tube tutorial that I will probably recreate a lot in the next months, as I really liked the styling!
We had saved some sparklers from New Years Eve and used them at midnight for the toasts :)
Also, Mr.B. looked smashin' in his Al Capone style outfit! I even borrowed his mustache for a while :)
