Trip back in time

Last weekend, Mr.B and I attended a festival to honor the 125th birthday of a local train track. Several towns and cities took part in the celebrations and organized little events around their train stations. All weekend, trains were running along the old train line and people came from all over the state to see old steam engines and celebrate. One city hosted a special 50s inspired event with a car show, hair stylists, 50s dance shows and good food. I decided to wear my sailor dress and wanted to add an original touch to it by wearing Mr.B's old marine hat. On site, a wonderful hair salon styled the guests up with 50s hair do's ( I will definitely go visit their salon soon!) and I got a nice look that worked well with the cap.

Later during the day, it turned quite chilly and I added a scarf and even some thin gloves to my look to withstand the ice-cold wind. We still walked a little bit around the train station, checked out the old cars and had some drinks, but soon after went home and just relaxed during the evening.

Thank you! It's so much fun trying out different styles and I am definitely the most comfortable in the 50s look!
