Holiday clothes - comfort vs. chic

Blogs often show only the beautiful sides of life, the pretty outfits, amazing food, perfect lives of all those bloggers that have now flaws, no weight issues or other health problems.
In comparison, I struggle with food allergies and intolerances and the holidays are a big issue for me every year. I often can't stomach all those heavy desserts, the fat food that seems to come on a conveyor and not to forget all the chocolate that is gifted to us. In combination with all that sitting around, I feel like a heavy ball right after Christmas Eve. Tight or uncomfortable, but pretty attire doesn't really help much in that situation. Something needed to change this season and I found my perfect uniform that has helped me to survive the tons of good food. And no offense here - I love my mother's turkey, guess that's another issue why I just can't say no!

I have been wearing a cotton shirt and cardigan in christmassy colors in combination with this black stretchy skirt. It is so comfortable, fits like a glove even after wearing it for several days and looks pretty chic nonethertheless. Perfect for the holidays. I felt totally relaxed and could enjoy the days with my family without having to pull at my clothes after every meal. This year I didn't need to pick one side, comfort or chic, I could have it all! BTW: these photos where taken on the 26th of December when the winter finally arrived on our door steps!

Oh thanks so much for your sweet comment. Well that snow didn't last long, hopefully we'll get some again soon. This winter has been awefully grey. Loving your blog btw!!
