Gratitude is the best Attitude

For several weeks, I have been participating in the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday group and also wrote several posts on the weekly topics. Katy of ModlyChic has started the FBFF project exactly one year ago, publishing five big questions each Friday on a variety of topics. After one year of amazing posts, more than 600 people have joined this great group and share their thoughts in an amazing community.

This week is all about gratitude and thanking the people that have influenced us and gave support on the way to who we are today.

1.  When it comes to be personally – I owe a lot of who I am to:

My mother. Of course, the rest of my family also had a huge impact on me growing up, but my mom really made a difference! As a mother of two and a working woman, she still always had time for me and my sister, managed to take trips with us and our dad and always had an open ear for wishes and problems. This seems like a general description of any mom, but of course it is special to every child! My mother also influenced my view on business. She has been self-employed, owning her own shop, for more than 15 years and has immensely fueled my wish for opening my own business in the near future. She had a dream and with hard work and all her heart, she has been her own boss and worked in her dream job. Seeing her example has made me want to strive for my dreams just as much. With the full support of my family and a lot of hard work, I believe to manage it all. Thank you mom for being a caring and loving mother and a great role model!
Without her, my family and my close friends, I would not be the person I am today.

2. When it comes to be professionally – I owe a lot of who I am to:

AIESEC 1

I am still a student, graduating as a Master of Arts in the summer. For most of my university time I have been a member of a student organization. There, I started taking responsibilities and worked on my business attitude. I took over several leading positions and even managed the Finnish national office for one year. I have learned more in practical terms than in a lot of my courses. My plans for my future and my career were built during this time. A big Thank You goes to AIESEC, a non-governmental organization that is run a bit like a company. Students can work in every area, such as human resources, finances, sales etc and get practical experiences either in a field close to the study area or one totally different from what one normally does. Check them out!

3. When it comes to the art of blogging, I’m grateful to these people for helping me through some rough spots:
  • Savannah – She supported me with tips and comments right from the beginning!
  • Ramsey – She has been such an inspiration and I can always relate to her great posts.
  • Kendi – Her blog was one of the first I discovered and stuck with. Reading her posts every day makes me smile and the 30for30 challenge motivated me to start my own little project
  • Katy – Her FBFF community and her example are the things that keep me going

4. One blogging challenge I’m grateful happened because it made me stronger was…

As I am still fairly new to blogging, no big challenges have come my way so far. The whole blog development process was a “challenge” and I was happy to take on. Every day, I have new ideas for my blog, come up with topics for posts and things I want to perfect in the design. The 30for30 challenge was something that fueled my fighting spirit and also helped me post on a regular basis. Establishing a style for your blog is a challenge, every day and will never decline to be important. I will never stop learning and discovering new things for the blog.

5. To my readers, I’d like to say…

THANKS a gazillion times!! It’s been an amazing ride with you so far and I can’t wait to continue this experience together with all of you! I started this blog for myself, but also with hopes to give readers something to enjoy and worth reading. I am immensely thankful for all your support and hope to keep going for a long time!

Thank you readers

If you have any wishes for future posts, let me know!
