Bedroom makeover - plans in the making!

I have been in love with my bedroom ever since I moved into my apartment about one year ago. It has been a long way, but I feel quite happy with it now. Ever since seeing the 2012 IKEA catalogue, I knew how my bedroom would look like. Girly and romantic. I kept my grandmother's old wallpaper and reworked the other walls to creak this look. Only one corner still needs some work. My green dresser is pretty and fits well into the room, but I want to add a dressing table similar to this bureau or this desk by Fashion for Home. Then I can get ready in the morning while Mr.B blocks the bathroom. It would also work well for storage. All my make up and jewelry would get a place and I could move the green dresser into the corner of the bedroom it was meant for since the beginning.

This week, I was so glad to be back at home, right on time for my little garden on my balcony to be in full bloom. I was able to harvest my first tomatoes and they are so yummy! Mr.B doesn't like tomatoes, which means more for me!

What I love right now No. 17

This weekend, I am spending most of the time just relaxing with Mr.B and enjoying our last days of vacation. Still can't stop finding all this awesome inspiration for our home. This dresser is just so beautiful. I am planning to redo an old dresser after the trip and I would love it to turn out as phantastic as this one that SFGirlbybay shared!

Summer sunsets are the best - I try to spend as much time outside as possible, preferably relaxing on the balcony with Mr.B.

Beauty Saturday - vacation hair styles

I am currently on my way to Finland with Mr.B. Our first vacation together and we are planning to spend a lot of time outdoors. During summer, I sometimes hate having such long hair and I am always on the lookout for great summer hair styles. Today, I want to share some inspiration that really makes me love my long hair. Can't wait to try them all out.

This week was full of events - some job interviews, some hours of working at my part-time job and enjoying the nice weather that has been happening during the last days. 

My Balcony is getting greener every day and I also got a new little house for future guests :) - a belated moving in gift by Mr.B's mom. Isn't it an adorable camper/ aviary?

What I love right now No. 14

While planning my friends' wedding, I started getting obsessed with vintage themed dessert tables and old fashioned lemonade stands. Especially for kids, drinking lemonade with a colorful straw, out of a fun glass is a perfect start for a long party evening. Nat over at I heart this blog shared this great picture and made me dream of the lemonade stand again!

These last weeks, we used the weekends and walked in my new hiking boots. I bought them for our summer vacation in Finland and for future hiking trips with Mr.B. and his family. I climbed my first bigger hill/small mountain last weekend and still managed to enjoy the nature and take some pictures.

Do you know the situation when you really would like to get something and suddenly people everywhere seem to have it, but you still can't find the right version for yourself? This seems to be happening to me right now concerning the lace dress that I have been looking for. Sydney of the Daybook does not only have an adorable baby, but still looks awesome every day and she got this super pretty lace dress from Rebecca Minkoff!!!

This week has been extremely busy - mainly on the job hunt front. I hope that all my plans and work will bear fruits soon - keep your fingers crossed! As I have been thinking a lot about work and my career, I can't stop looking at work desk inspiration. Especially this great version shared by Ruche blog has me dreaming about colorful chairs and white romantic desks.

Carrie of WishWishWish woke my inner child and made me want to be a Witch. Her pictures from the Harry Potter Film Studios in England are too cool! 

DIY - Mood Book

Some weeks ago, I met with my crafting girls once again and we decided to make a notebook that could work as a mood board for collecting ideas and little scraps that inspire you in your daily life. It was once again such a fun evening with lovely chats, a lot of craftiness and an amazing book for each girl to collect thinks that are important to each one of us.

This week has been full of things that had to be done. Still, I have neglected my ToDo list a bit and enjoyed the nice weather. 

I watched these cool fireworks from my balcony and played around with my camera a bit. Such a cool result!

White Summer

Last week was Pentecost and in the "fashion calendar" this means we are now allowed to wear white again - who ever started this tradition. Once again Victoria over at SFGirlbyday has the greatest interior design features. This time the apartment of Manolo Yllera and especially his retro chairs have caught my eye! Aren't they lovely!?

J's wedding is getting closer and we are currently talking about the dress a lot more. I know she does want a more 50s inspired look, but this dress over at 100 LayerCake just took my breath away. It's from the Prenovias Spring 2013 collection!

I have been thinking about getting a pet for a while now. I am more of a cat lover, but the rest of my closest family is all for a dog. Veronika over at Girl&Closet got such a cute little fellow - might just have to get one just like that :)

FBFF - planning makes your style perfect

For this weeks Fashion Beauty Friend Friday Katy of ModlyChic has asked her fellow bloggers to share a bit about their outfit planning habits. For some fashion opponents it might be overrated, but for me it's a very important topic.

1. How do you go about picking your outfit for the day? (Do you lay stuff out the night before? Do you plan a whole week's worth of looks Sunday night? Do you wing it every morning?) 

I definitely plan my outfits just like I plan most of my life - in a semi-structured way :) I do have some ideas in my head of what I  need to do during the day and I do try to work my outfit around those things.

I really enjoy working in my newly renovated kitchen and have been trying a lot of new recipes. This one is super cute and a totally yummy idea that I will have to try soon! Such a lovely easter idea - Fräulein Klein has always these amazing tips!

Spring came and went, but I am still craving pastel colors and patterns.

Can women recycle their clothes?

Since I started reading blogs on a regular basis about two years ago, a very bad habbit has been omnipresent to me that I have only known from hollywood superstars before: wearing your clothes only once and then never again. Katy of ModlyChic seems to have recognized this same situation happening on several "A-List Blogs" now as well and made this the topic of this weeks' Fashion Beauty Friend Friday theme. I find it a very interesting and important topic and really wanted to contribute to the discussion.

What I love right now No.6

This week has been full of events for me and I barely had time to catch my breath. I painted my entire kitchen and with some help of my father did the tiling in my shower (DIY coming soon!). Apart from that the wedding planning process together with J. is coming along and we had a meeting with the Maid of Honor and the Best Man this week to further plan the big day. I feel more and more like her wedding planner and it's a lot of fun! 

I have been looking for more inspiration for the party and I really love this photo from the presentation of the Alice and Olivia collection at Paris Fashion Week. What a wonderful lace detailing!

One of my dear friends has asked me to help her organize her wedding and I have been thrilled to start the planning process with her. I have been searching blogs for inspiration on decorations and other important things, just awesome. Only have to watch out a bit as she is not such a girly girl like I am. Hope that I will match her taste ;)

DIY - Chevron pictures

My apartment is slowly coming together. I've been decorating for the last two months and it looks a lot more like home. With a limited budget it all goes a little slowly, but steadily.

This week I decided to add a little color to one corner of my living room. I have been obsessed with chevron prints lately. I have seen it everywhere. Jess of Makeunder my Life has been known for her chevron obsession as well and when I saw her awesome DIY, I just had to try it.
