Autumn and boots just go together like pepper and salt. I love wearing them when the colder season comes around. They work well with pants, but even better with my collection of skirts!

Work appropriate
My new work has been great these past weeks. I have a nice schedule and a lot of freedom to create my own content. Another great part: we don't have a strict dress code and I can wear quite casual outfits. Therefore, I don't really need to change a lot about my outfits. Of course deep cleavage or very short hem lines are out of the question, but when have I ever worn these anyways.
I am still trying to incorporate some more business like pieces. This pair of dark blue slacks are perfect for the current temperatures. They also have a great fit and the small white polka dots are of course the best eye catcher. I paired them with a shirt that I got in Finland and my favorite red cardigan.

Flowing breeze
Today is my first day at my new work and I feel a bit like back in the first grade at school. All is new, lots of things will probably happen that I can't even think about right now and I am a bit nervous that it all works out well. I am quite glad that there is a new wind, hopefully blowing me into a new direction in life. Can't wait for this new period to start, even though I am a bit hessitant to take all the steps needed. I guess, security will come with the next weeks and moths.

Life is good ... sometimes!
Last week has been amazing - not just because we had a short week with lots of sun, but also because I got a ton of things done. Life can be good sometimes.
Enter this week - the weather has been horrible until today, the workshop I helt last weekend had a little leftover gift for me, aka. the flu and I have been totally behind my ToDo list because of that. Well, I guess, life is only good sometimes and can be a total B.... the other times. I hope my health situation isn't ruining our weekend plans to visit another of Mr.B's favorite rallyes, but I will lay low for the next two days to make sure that I get back in shape!

mix 'n' match
When it comes to colors and my outfits, I am not one of those brave ones that constantly goes for tons of bright colors. I rather wear several nude and pastel shades and add maybe one bright accessory. I guess I am just not that fashion forward. When I saw that this months' EveryBody EveryWear colors were pastels, I just had to participate. Only issue - the easter getaway with Mr.B. somehow destroyed my posting plans a bit. Therefore, I am posting this outfit a day late. Still loving the color AND pattern mix.

Be mine ... in Red and Pink
Today is the day of love, togetherness and couples. I will spend my evening with my sweetheart and to celebrate this day in style, I am wearing the colors of love: pink (or in my case a nude or rose color) and red. The combination needs getting used to, but it looked cute and I got a great compliment from the Mr. I guess that is all that counts!!

Color in my life
It's finally getting cold in Germany and it's the best weather for some tights and woolen skirts! This months' Everybody Everywear is perfect for that. We were asked to show off our colored tights!
My current favorite is teal colored. I wore this outfit for a little afternoon meet up with my mom. We talked a bit and she admired my "new" skirt. Can you imagine her surprise when I told her that it is actually one great find from my grandma's closet?! She was amazed :) I think, my grandma has always been very stylish and all those gread finds are the proof for that!
What I wore

Colors are for the brave ones
This month the girls from Everybody Everywear decided to feature a trend for Fall that is a real hard one for me. All the ladies around the globe were to wear colored pants. Well, finding pants in my length (38) is already hard, so when I find a decent one, I go for classic color and fit. Colored pants have not been on my radar and they are kind of hard to get. So I needed to compromise. I found those tartan capris (from my time as a rock chick and emo fashion lover) in the back of my closet and decided to try my own Fall trend - Old British Chic!

I paired those pants with my high-heeled brogues, a silk blouse and my long blazer. Add some preppy accessories and I was ready to rock those pants. What do you think, are they worth keeping and how could I remix them?

Mix 'n' Match
So this is me with a broken toe. No heels for a while, no ballerinas, not even most of my sandals. I spent more than 1 hour yesterday trying to find a couple pairs of shoes that I could be wearing in the next weeks with my badly bruised little toe. I came to the conclusion that I really don't do my feet any big favors with my fashion sense. Most of the shoes from my collection (and believe me, it's not that small a collection!) do squeeze my toes together and that isn't supposed to be good for them (I googled it). I am even one of those girls, I only buy shoes that are quite comfortable. Man, I must be used to torturing myself every day.
Do you have similar experiences with your favorite pairs?
So today's outfit had to work well with my ankle booties (thank goodness the weather was on my side with only 18 degrees and quite some wind). It's also time for another Everybody Everywear and in the end, it was quite easy to pull together this outfit. In this edition it's all about pattern mixing, something I have been a bit scared about and therefore I was thrilled to try it. With Tiffany's super cool tips that she posted yesterday, it was a piece of cake!

Paperdoll for a day
Today is all about dressing up! I am so excited, because I had nothing to worry about today. Thanks to Suze and her Paperdoll Project, I actually got dressed by the wonderful Laura of Ruby Bastille. She made my life in the morning so much easier! And boy did she dress me well! I got to wear my new red dress. It was a bargain at 4,50€ that I found two weeks ago at the Helsinki Flea Market. Such a lucky find! I have been looking for a red dress for ages and this one is awesome. Together with those accessories Laura picked, it looks like a 50s dream come true!
Also check out how I dressed Laura today and head over to Suze for all those other lovely Ladies!
I guess, I have maybe given Laura a hard one though, as it's also another Everybody Everywear and I so wanted to participate in that edition. The EBEW Ladies in corporation with one of my favorite bloggers, Jentine from My Edit, asked us to wear something thrifted. Well, lucky me, my dress, bag, slip and belt just happen to fit that criteria!!
What I wore
Dress: Laura Ashley, Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted
Bag: Tom Taylor; Thrifted
Necklace & Earrings: Gift from my parents

Yellow is a new kind of Gold
It's time again for another day the blogging world is ruled by one fashion trend. This time every blogger was asked to remix the color yellow for the Everybody Everywear challenge. I am currently on vacation, but I just couldn't not take part in this months' challenge. Even though this shirt is probably the first thing I have been owning in yellow for several years. I always looked a bit sick in that color, but my Finland vacation gave me a nice tan and now it looks not too bad. I think, I could get used to it :)
Today the temperature dropped considerably and gave me the one and only chance to actually wear my long pants on the vacation. 20 degrees felt so good after this last week and I finally could wear a cardigan again. That is more my kind of climate and I actually was looking forward to it in Helsinki. Who would have thought that the summer would be like in the Mediterranean region!?
What I wore
Pants: Long Fashion
Shirt & Bracelet: Gina Tricot
Top, Bag & Cardigan: H&M
Necklace: Seppällä
Shoes: Deichmann
I also happened to meet this lovely golden lady and thought that I should feature her today. Her name is Expectation and she stands for the fact that maternal love is the strongest of all.
She was revealed in 2010 and I think she is a quite fashionable mom. Are those Converse sneakers by any chance!?

Flower date
I have mentioned several times before (see this and this post) that my favorite trend for this Spring is everything floral. Well not everything, I don’t like floral jackets that much, but on skirts, dresses, shirts and accessories floral prints are perfect! It is very convenient that this months’ Everybody Everywear channels the floral print as well.
I made a lucky find yesterday. This super cute floral dress that became an instant favorite for today’s outfit. It might just be THE summer dress. Finally, after searching for weeks. And it was on sale.
I tried hard to incorporate as many floral designs as possible in the outfit, without looking ridiculous :) Can you find all of the pieces? This outfit is full of great bargains. I can’t tell you, which was the best. The dress was half prize, the shoes were only 4€ and that YSL bag cost less than 5€ at the thrift store.
What I wore
Dress: Vero Moda
Cardigan: C&A
Silk Slip (for those that don’t know what is meant by that, it’s not my undies!): Thrifted, KleiderKreisel
Bag: Vintage YSL; Thrifted
Headband: Claire’s
Ring: I am
