It's in the little things

Last weekend, Mr.B and I went on a little road trip across the country. We visited my good friend S in the city Aachen. I had met S. 5 years ago during my Erasmus Semester abroad in Finland. We haven't seen each other in four years, but kept in contact the entire time. Finally, we managed to see each other again!
We used the opportunity and visited not only her town, but also made a short, but sweet trip (waffles, ice cream and pancakes) across the border to visit Maastricht in the Netherlands!

I wore a quite comfy outfit, as it was really windy and cold in the morning and we had planned to do a lot of walking. My hiking boots have served me well these past months and I wore them once again in combination with jeans, a long-sleeved cobalt shirt and my favorite red coat for the autumn months.

We did a little sightseeing and of course also stopped for some shopping. We bought some Maastricht special blended coffee and an espresso maker for Mr.B and I got a new scarf that I will share in one of my next outfit posts!

This little town next to the river Maas is such a beautiful place. I could definitely spend a summer or two here, eating waffles, riding bikes and having picknicks near the river.

BTW: on our way back to Germany we managed to get lost in Belgium for just a bit. We ended up seeing three countries in one day - what a ride!

Check back for some pretty snapshots of Maastricht and Aachen in one of the next posts!
