Autumn look

It's been a while since I posted here on the blog. Time has been against me and the blog. I started a new job in August and it has been more than difficult to have time to take photos to post. I needed this little break to adjust, but I hope to start posting more regularly once again. I have some plans for 2020 and want to start posting not just outfit posts but also include more lifestyle and day to day photography. Let's see where 2020 will take me and the blog. I just hope to keep this hobby going once again and find enough time to blog.

This look has been one of my favourites during this Autumn time and I feel pretty comfortable wearing it during a day at work as well as for a lunch date with Mr.B. I have been neglecting my pencil skirts a bit and preferred my full skirted dresses, but I still have a soft spot for pencil skirts for a good office look.

Paris 2018 - Disney Studios Park

1-IMG_3243

For our second day at Disneyland Paris, we decided to go to the Studios Park for most of the day and just went to Disneyland for the Fireworks. I wore my Vixen by Micheline Pitt skirt and felt dressed appropriately, more 50s diner style and less french chic.

I met my girl Minnie Mouse! I am not one to stand in line for lots of character meet ups. Mr.B gets bored as well and we wanted to enjoy the time together. We actually met lots of our favourite characters during our last visit when we ate at Mickey's Café and I felt ok with not meeting any this time, but when the line for Minnie was that short (20min wait), I had to meet her.

We went on all the rides that were new and saw the Mickey the Magician show - so cute!! Also walked by while Goofie, Mickey and Pluto had their meet-ups. Just took a quick photo of each of them.

My favourite ride - the flying carpets! The app said sth about 20min wait, so not true! More like 60min. The update needs to get better and we were really done after waiting that long.

Review - "Look as good as you feel, feel as good as you look" #Eshakti

1-IMG_8385

I have been on the lookout for a long polka dot dress for ages and when Eshakti reached out to me and offered me to participate in their "Look as good as you feel, feel as good as you look" campaign (#Eshakti #RealFashionForRealpeople), I was hoping to finally get the perfect dress. The company sells ready to wear clothes (mainly dresses) that can be customized according to the customers measurements and special wishes. I adjusted my chosen dress in length and at the arm sleeves. Sadly, my model is not available anymore, but this one came in as a close second choice and might just have to come home with me at a later point.

The company took about two weeks to produce my custom order from the moment I ordered to shipping it internationally and then it arrived one week later at my home. The dress itself seems very well made out of a heavy cotton material that fall nicely to the ground and hits the floor in the back and just skims my ankles in the front. It is a true wrap dress with an extremely long ribbon to tie in a nice bow. I have worn it twice so far and have been utterly impressed with the dress. I got several compliments when wearing it and feel beautiful whenever I put it on. It swings nicely while walking, but the long hemline does get a bit in the way while walking up and down stairs. This is my own fault though, as I did request to alter the hemline to my height and make it into a floor length dress and in the end picking up the skirt gives me an even  more lady like feeling.  The only real downside - should I have to find one - is the hole on one side to pull the string through, which is needed in each real wrap dress. Because the fabric is heavier, the hole pulls open quite a bit and I need to adjust the wrapped strings sometimes. I usually wear a camisole underneath anyways so it won't show any skin.

To summarize my experience - I am totally in love with this beautiful dress and am pretty happy with the custom service at Eshakti. Definitely need to look at other of their beautiful dresses for the Christmas and holiday season! Definite recommendation!

For this outfit, I added my beloved denim jacket to the look and used all tan/brown accessories. My new Villa Smilla bag is the perfect addition to my bag collection and works so well with my tan boots.

Blue and white, with a true red

1-IMG_7164

Autumn is my favourite season, as I love the colorful leaves and can wear my skirts with tights. Apart from that, I do change up my outfit preferences only a bit, still loving my pencil skirts and 50s inspired looks, but I can see that my color choices drift towards more deeper colors and autumnal shades. This is the time when I bust out all my red pieces and darker lipsticks as well. This look is a typical Autumn outfit and I love the marine vibe that works so well also during the colder months.

Rosé fun

1-IMG_6785

This is such a playful outfit and I can definitely see myself wearing this look over and over. The blouse was a sale find at Lindex, one of my favourite shops in Finland. We go there whenever I get the chance and always am lucky to find something pretty on sale. This striped off-shoulder piece is a perfect match for my VixenbyMichellinePitt makeup novelty print skirt. I am looking forward to their autumn/winter collection and am hoping for a pretty print similar to this skirt. Definitely great quality and the skirt has huge pockets! The outfit was completed with a small striped bag that I got from my great-aunt. What a cute little accessory.

Double the print

1-IMG_9043

I love me a good print and even more when it's a good mix of patterns. This outfit is pretty basic, but also currently in constant rotation. I really love the burgundy top with those two basic prints. A look that is easy and pretty for work and even a dinner with my man afterwards.
