I love vintage candle holders. I can never pass them at a flea market. I got quite a collection at home by now and Mr.B has been complaining why we need more as they all look quite similar. Therefore I decided to try something new with some of them to give them a different look. I have seen this DIY and tried it at home some time ago.

Ich liebe vintage Kerzenständer. Ich kann an keinem auf den Flohmärkten vorbeigehen. Ich habe deshalb auch schon eine recht große Sammlung daheim und Mr.B hat schon angefangen zu jammern, warum ich denn noch mehr brauche. Deshalb habe ich mir gedacht, dass ich noch ein bisschen was mit den schon gekauften machen könnte und so meine Sammlung ein bisschen besser genutzt wird.
What you need
Acrylic Spray paint in your prefered color
old newspaper
old bottles and candleholders
some time and a space to let it dry

ein bisschen Zeit und Platz zum trocknen
We picked white and copper spray colors. First we decided which pieces to paint in copper and which ones to paint white. Then we cleaned the bottles and candleholders and removed old dirt and dust. We sprayed some bottles, which needed two coats, while the candleholders were ok with one coat. The glass of the bottles seems to be a little trickier to spray. Hold the spray can at least 30cm away from the things you want to spray and if possible do it outdoors. We did this on our balcony and let all the pieces dry out there for two days. It helps when the air is not too humid.

Wir haben uns weiß und kupfer ausgesucht. Zuerst haben wir uns dafür entschieden, welche Teile kupfer oder weiß gefärbt werden sollen. Dann haben wir Dreck und Kleberückstände entfernt. Die Flaschen brauchen wegen dem Glas zwei Schichten. Haltet die Sprühflasche mindestens 30cm weit weg und am besten macht ihr das draußen wegen der Gase. Wir haben das auf unserem Balkon gemachrtund die Stücke 2 Tage trocknen lassen. Es ist besser, wenn die Luft nicht zu feucht ist.
We sprayed a couple of pieces in white and copper, which makes for an amazing contrast. Soon, I will change them up again for Spring. Already got some pastel spray cans at home!

Wir haben auch einige Teile mit beiden Farben besprüht. Es ist ein toller Kontrast geworden. Bald schon werde ich sie wieder umsprühen und sie alle in Frühlingsfarben hüllen.
