Now that we are back from the WRC rallye, Mr.B and I are ready to explore Helsinki. It is so much fun to show him all my favorite spots and he is glad to have me as his tour guide - I know my way around town and also have a couple of unique places to show him. We still can't go without the really touristic sights, but I try to mix it up a little here and there :) I am also working on a little post about the best places to go in Finland.
On Monday, we went for a little trip to Suomen linna, a fortress island in the Helsinki bay that is a world cultural heritage. The place is so beautiful (more about it later!) and we used the wonderful surroundings for some outfit pictures.
This denim skirt is quite short, but paired with some leggings, it works quite well and I fit into the picture of finnish girls. They only wear tights and a long sweater or shirt as a dress in the summer or then really short pants. I can only guess that they want to show off their figures as long as it is warm outside until the next snow :) I have to say that this look was mostly meant as a practical sollution, but turned out to be very comfortable and still pretty for our little picknick.
What I wore
Shirt: New Yorker
Tights & Skirt: C&A
Shoes: Deichmann
Necklace & Earrings: Thrifted
Ring: Kalevala Jewellery, Finland
