Once again it's Friday and time for another round of questions by the lovely Katy of ModlyChic for the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday. This week, it's all about Hair and how we take care of it. As my mom is a hair stylist, this is one of my favorite topics so far :)
1. How often do you get your hair cut?
This actually varies a lot. My hair is quite straight and has no layers, therefore i get a new cut when my ends really look brittle. I am currently thinking about a hair cut. Maybe I will get rid of some cm, cut it close to shoulder length, but I am not convinced yet. I love my long hair and am too afraid to cut it.
2. Do you go to the same stylist each time, try someone new, go to the cheap hair cutting chains or live it up in a salon?
Well, as mentioned before, my mom is a hair stylist and has her own salon. Therefore, I have never gotten a hair cut from somebody else. She would be really sad actually and I think, I could never trust another stylist as much as I trust her. It is hard though when you don't live in the same country. When I moved to NYC for a year, I went without a cut for 9 months. That was the longest I ever waited for a new cut. In the future, I might have to look for a new one, should I have to move far away after graduation. I would definitely go for the more expensive places and really check out their styling books before trusting any stylist-
3. Do you color your hair? How often? What’s your natural color?
Yes, I color my hair. a lot of people are really shocked when they hear that my natural color is dark ash blond. I have had darker hair for so long, it kind of belongs to me :)
In my teens, I had a red phase and first had fire red and later burgundy red hair. Now I switch between chocolate brown for winter and dark brown/black for summer. I like the "Snow White" look and it works well with my love for the 50s. Sometimes, I add some highlights, but I reserve them for winter, as in summer the sun lightens my hair a lot!
4. The one thing you always do to keep your hair looking great is:
Conditioner! I can't live without it. Even though my hair looks straight, it is actually quite curly, only the curls are too heavy and straighten right after they get dry. I can't comb my hair in wet condition and conditioner helps to smoothen my tresses just a bit. Long hair needs a lot of care and my ends tend to split, so moisturizing is a must-do for me!
5. What hair trend do you love and wish you could rock?
Oh, I love those long full bangs, but I am too scared to try it. I still remember my bangs from high school and let me tell you, it was not a nice time for me! It would also mean a lot more visits to the hair stylist and I am just too busy for that.

I have been debating whether or not to cut bangs again. They look so great in that last pictures, it's tempting me.

Definitely tempting. I am still thinking about it as well. Maybe a fake clip in fringe first?! I think that would be a save option!!
