Ascension Day

This week, I have been quite inspired by Ramsey and her lovely idea to turn a random weekday into a mini vacation. It felt so right to do that during this short week. I don't know about all the other girls out there, but we are having an extremely short week as it is Ascension Day today, a national public holiday. I am not a big believer, but I really enjoy this time every year as it is also one of the first summer weekends with lots of time to spend with friends and family! For me that's enough. 

In our region today is also the day of the men, which is often spend by them hiking around the  country side with their buddies, enjoying their time together and doing guy things. 

I use the day for catching up with my girls! Tonight might be perfect for a re-run of the best Sex and the City episodes :) 

Awkward

• running into your Ex and his new girl - like literally almost running them over - should have seen their looks :D
• Your mom finding out about the crush you are having on a guy through an online community - she actually called me afterwards

Awesome

• a short week and a long sunny weekend ahead
• girl's night and watching super cheesy movies - ever watched the Princess Bride or Bride & Prejudice?!
• 4 weeks left till the little godchild will be born - can't wait for that little cookie to arrive!!
• it's June and Summer is right around the corner - I can see lot's of picnics and BBQs ahead
• meeting people you have an instant connection with
• vacation feeling in the city - just taking a day off and enjoying the peace and quiet
