I have been looking all over the place for a wool pencil skirt that is actually long enough for me and I have finally been successful! I needed to wear it the second it arrived. Had to do a quick wash though, as it smelled a bit old and stale.
So this weekend I was finally able to wear it for a quick outing with the mister. It has turned into quite a tradition to take a stroll in the afternoon to stretch our legs after working hard on my thesis and his college stuff and combining it with some outfit photos.
I paired my "new" skirt with a cute little bag that I found in the back of my great-grandmas closet. It's only the first of many things I inherited from her!
I also want to finally share some big news: I will be moving into my first own apartment the weekend after I hand in my thesis. Due to health issues, the aforementioned Grandma is moving to a retirement home where she will receive the best care possible (but please no worries here, she is fine, it was just time as she is already 90 years old). I will move into her place and am able to keep her furniture as well as most of her things from the flat. It's really exciting to go through all those things that have been around for such a long time. Can't wait to clean it all out and turn it into a combination of vintage and new items.
What I wore
Skirt, Necklace & Belt: Thrifted
Shirt: Gina Tricot
Top & Ring: H&M
Tights: Esda
Shoes: Deichmann
Bag: Heirloom, gift from Grandma

This skirt is wonderful. At my height I generally turn to vintage for skirts too - they're usually nice and long. I love how you've paired it with a pink blouse too - you look fabulous.
Awesome find!! I love hitting up thrift stores and coming across beauties like that. Always make you feel great about not wasting money shopping retail.
Found your blog from Morgan's Meet Virginia!! Happy Tuesday!

Saw you at the thriftoholics link-up and I love your thrifted pencil skirt, what a great find! And, not to mention, it goes absolutely perfectly with those little lace up heels and vintage frame bag. Really digging this whole outfit!
