Red, black and gold

When in doubt, wear some sparkles - that's my mantra! I do love dressing up for the festive season and plan my pretty looks in advance, but when I finally want to put the looks on, I often gravitate towards something much more comfortable, but then feel sad to give up the festiveness of the outfit. This skirt though brings back all the sparkles to any simple look. I have worn this particular outfit for several occasions this past festive season and switched it up just a bit for New Year's Eve as well.   The red shoes are my new favourite pair of heels. I do have this style in 5 different colors now as I do love the fit of them and for about 25€ you can't go wrong as they are so comfortable as well. The bag is my other favourite that Mr.B got me for Christmas. Definitely a smart choice and so pretty for upccoming events.

New Year's Eve Look 2017

After celebrating the wedding of Mr.B's sister in this amazing dress by LindyBop, I decided to get it in red for Christmas in the Black Friday sales. They sent it to me quickly, but it did arrive labeled wrong. I got one size smaller than I wanted. As the dress was on sale, shipping it back would have been quite expensive AND after it was all settled with the refund the dress was out of stock. Thankfully, I could keep the mislabeled dress and it just about fits. Might have to loose a couple of pounds for it to fit nicely, but I still love it. Added some sparkle to the look and wore my new golden bag that Mr.B gifted me for Christmas! Perfect Christmas Day outfit, but would also look very nice for New Years Eve. 

With that I wish you all the best for 2018! We will celebrate with friends and our little cat is hopefully not too scared by the fireworks.

Casual Autumn walk

Christmas is fast approaching and I am currently working my way through my Autumn photos to show outfits in the snow soon. We already had a couple of days worth of white and I love it! Winter is my favourite and Christmas especially. While editing this post, I have been listening to Christmas songs non-stop and these pictures with the thin jacket, golden leaves and sun seem a little surreal, but I really like the outfit and wanted to share the look. I finally got my Michael Kors Bedford in Burgundy out for the Fall and Winter. It is such a lovely bag and I don't regret buying it one bit. It is a great bag for the darker months brightening up any dark look. Also these cargo pants are my new favourite. I got them in the sale at LongTallSally and loved them so much, I had to get them in khaki as well. They fit well and have an easy-going vibe to them. Perfect for the weekends!

These photos were taken during the amazingly warm end of October when we had a day of nearly 20 degrees and then it dropped to minus 2 and snow in about 48 hours. I really love this look though and still wanted to share it. I can never get enough of this skirt. I love the color and it is so effordless, easy to style and always works well with any mood.

Stripes and Checkers

I finally get to share these beautiful shots in front of my favourite trees. These pink blossoms are the best backdrop each year and I am sad to leave it behind as Mr.B and I will be moving at the end of the Summer. But these beautiful pictures will be a fond memory of mine! It's an everyday look that I have worn on several occasions. I will retire the skirt for the summer for now, but bring it back out for the new season of Outlander in September. You gotta wear that plaid for Jamie and Claire :) That little polkatot clutch was a great find at TKMaxx. Love the print and the size is great. I use it on trips to store my essentials and then just take that with me or pack it in another bag. Also great as an Airport essentials purse.
