Winter to Spring

1-IMG_7115

It's been a minute since I last posted here and it felt ok to be away from blogging for a while. I needed to think about what I want to do with this place for the future. It has been more than 8 years since I started blogging on a regular basis and have been sharing fashion and a little bit of lifestyle here ever since. Change has been on my mind and it needs to come this year. I haven't fully figured it out yet, but I have missed blogging in the meantime and want to do the changes on the go. I hope you come along again on this journey. We took these photos when it was still snowing here and though we just had the official start of Spring, it is still grey and dark most days with the odd warm and sunny day in between. I wore some of my old favourites for this day and felt quite comfortable with these classics. Burgundy red just always works with black and this combination stands for my traditional winter colours.

Fashion Archives - New Years Eve look

1-IMG_1493

This year we spent our New Years Eve in Finland in the middle of nowhere in the ice-cold with a snow storm fast approaching. I definitely didn't wear something extremely fancy and therefore have no outfit photos to share, BUT and now this is funny, I forgot to post the look from last year even though I had taken some photos from that night. Still love that look and would wear it all over again would I still own that shirt (RIP). The skirt used to be an 80s bodycon dress with that itchy glitter material, but I had it made into a skirt which has been a staple in my closet ever since. Perfect for the festive season and then one needs something super comfortable with elastic waist that doesn't look like it one bit. I added a similar skirt with sequins to my closet this year and wore it a lot during our Christmas outings. What is your uniform for special occasions where you still want to feel comfortable aka you gotta eat a lot?

Casual winter look

Starting the new year with a wintery look. We are currently enjoying our vacation in Finland and I am so not dressing up for an entire week. But getting cosy is a neccessity. Therefore I need every layer possible. What is your favourite look for a casual and cozy day?

Florals and Stripes, best print remix

1-IMG_2478

The combination of stripes and floral prints are some of my favourite remixes and this look is a pretty good example. This skirt has been a pretty bold choice and I am glad that I got it a couple of years back. I added the cardigan and floral blouse in mint and my new bast bag. I used to be a bit more coy with the print mixing, but it feels good to be a bit more bold with my choices.

Updated Work Attire for Spring

1-IMG_2017

Spring is in full swing here, this week the high temperatures are supposed to go up till 20°C, but I still got a couple of snowy pictures for you here! Well, I am always a bit sad when the snow leaves, but it is nice to wear a little less layers. I did do some Spring shopping and have updated my work wardrobe a bit. This black long blazer is a nice basic that I hope to wear for years to come. I did have a similar one for the last 10 years and it was finally time to replace it. Glad I did, as this new one has long arms and a much nicer fit. The scarf was a gift for Christmas and I have been wearing it non-stop throughout the last months. This is definitely a look that I feel comfortable with wearing at work even though the hemline of the skirt is quite high. With opaque tights it works well. I do love wearing them, as they give an outfit a more polished look.
I think this might be my last snowy outfit post, but who knows. Now that we are living up in the mountains, Winter could be back in no time. There has been snow even in May in the last years, so I am not promising Spring floral looks with green grass just yet.

Casual Autumn walk

1-IMG_8220

Christmas is fast approaching and I am currently working my way through my Autumn photos to show outfits in the snow soon. We already had a couple of days worth of white and I love it! Winter is my favourite and Christmas especially. While editing this post, I have been listening to Christmas songs non-stop and these pictures with the thin jacket, golden leaves and sun seem a little surreal, but I really like the outfit and wanted to share the look. I finally got my Michael Kors Bedford in Burgundy out for the Fall and Winter. It is such a lovely bag and I don't regret buying it one bit. It is a great bag for the darker months brightening up any dark look. Also these cargo pants are my new favourite. I got them in the sale at LongTallSally and loved them so much, I had to get them in khaki as well. They fit well and have an easy-going vibe to them. Perfect for the weekends!

Autumn florals

1-IMG_6899

Autumn is in full swing and it is one of my favourite times of the year! I love the cool weather when I can wear a bit more layers, tights and boots or booties. I really do wear this look pictured in this post at least once a week with different shirts or pencil skirts. It is easy-going and works well for my job. Definitely a favourite of mine. I added my Kalevala jewelry to the look and my well-loved Villa Smilla bag.

Relaxed weekend attire

1-IMG_4486

Weekend outfits are my favourites as they are so relaxed and effordless. Definitely like to dress up, but sometimes it is good to not think about it too much. A denim combo is always a great idea and I paired some definite favourites with this look.
