Look 3 - 50's inspired business look

While I am off on my extremely needed vacation, I want to share this look with you. It's another outfit for the shoe of the month project and this one was a tricky one. I do love the black and white look, but I have a weird feeling about the shoes. It might be the skirt length. I guess wedged booties don't give the same elongating look for your legs like a high heel.

Während ich mich in meinen wirklich nötigen Urlaub befinde, will ich diesen schönen Look mit euch teilen. Es ist ein weiteres Outfit für das Shoe of the month Projekt. Ich mag den schwarz/weiß look, aber ich habe ein komisches Gefühl bei den Schuhen. Irgendwie passt es nicht. Es könnte die Rocklänge sein. Ich vermute, dass Keilstiefeletten nicht die gleiche beinverlängernde Wirkung haben wie High Heels.

I am wearing a more casual work look in this post. I mixed several bright colors and picked all blues of the rainbow. For the accessories, I stuck with the same navy blue. The shirt and scarf fit perfectly and the ring and necklace make the look perfect.

Ich habe hier eine eher legere Variante für die Arbeit gewählt. Dabei trage ich verschiedene knallige Farben, um ein wenig aus dem wintergrau auszubrechen. Das Shirt und der Schal passen perfekt zusammen. Die Kette und der Ring runden alles ab!

Chinese New Year look

Look 1 - Party outfit

I seldom speak about my work and I want to keep it that way, but I can tell you as much: I have a lot of connections to China through work and therefore attended a party to celebrate the start of the new year according to the chinese calendar. I wore this outfit for the evening. The shoes are brand new and sooo extremely comfortable. I have found those wedged heels to be great for walking in them all day. A lot of comfort, great for balance and walking is easy in them.

Ich erzähle nur selten etwas über meine Arbeit und werde dies auch weiterhin nicht tun, aber ich kann soviel erzählen. Ich habe durch die Arbeit viele Verbindungen nach China und war deshalb auch zu einer Party für das Chinesische Neujahrsfest am Donnerstag Abend eingeladen. Ich habe dazu dieses Outfit getragen. Die Schuhe sind neu und ich muss sagen, sie sind so bequem. Ich habe mittlerweile gemerkt, dass Keilabsätze wirklich Vorteile haben. Sie sind so bequem und geben einem sehr gute Balance und ich kann den ganzen Tag darin laufen.

Spring Pastels during Winter

Look 4 - Take your boots along for Spring

I have been waiting for the real winter forever and I am tired of waiting. I decided to start Spring early this year and unpacked my pastels! While I did that I also did a little house cleaning and got rid of a lot of clothes, make up and jewelry that hasn't been used in a long time. It felt really rewarding and I am glad for the space in my closet! I also rediscovered some of my old favourites. I wore this pastel look for a walk with Mr.B during last week and I really like how the light colors work with my grey boots! Especially with those mint pants!

Ich warte nun schon eine gefühlte Ewigkeit auf den richtigen Winter und es langweilt mich. Ich habe mich deshalb dafür entschieden, meine Frühlingssachen und vor allem die Pastelltöne schon jetzt rauszuholen. Nebenbei habe ich meinen Kleiderschrank, mein Make up und meinen Schmuck aussortiert. Es ist einiges rausgeflogen und ich habe auch einige Dinge neu für mich entdeckt. Den Look habe ich für einen langen Spaziergang und zum Wege erledigen mit Mr.B getragen. Ich bin begeistert, wie gut die hellen Farben zu meinen grauen Boots passen. Vor allem die Kombination von Hose und Schuhen ist toll.

I started wearing a winged liner more often with my make up and I slowly am getting the hang of it. I really like the look and it gives me that 50s vibe!

Ich trage seit einiger Zeit immer öfter einen geschwungenen Lidstrich. Ich werde langsam besser und es sieht nicht schlecht aus. Es gibt mir einen gewissen 50s Look!

Look 3 - Winter Flower Child

I love me a good dress. I have quite a collection at home, but some of my finds were bought on a whim and didn't fit my needs later on. Some have been hanging in my closet for quite some time without me ever wearing them. It's sad really. Then I decided to change something. I asked Mr.B's mom to make the ankle-length dress into a floor-length skirt and have been wearing it quite frequently since then! 
For the 3rd shoe of the month look, I combined the bohemian skirt with some polka dots and added my boots to complete this winter flower child look.

Ich liebe Kleider. Ich habe eine ganz schöne Sammlung, aber einige meiner Stücke waren ziemliche Spontankäufe und haben später doch nicht mehr meinen Wünschen entsprochen. Deshalb hängen sie schon eine ganze Weile in meinem Kleiderschrank, ohne getragen zu werden. Es ist eigentlich richtig traurig. Deshalb habe ich mich schließlich entschlossen, etwas daran zu ändern. Seitdem Mr.B's Mama das knöchellange Kleid in einen bodenlangen Rock verwandelt hat, habe ich ihn schon mehrere Male getragen!
Für den 3.Schuh des Monats Look habe ich den Rock mit ein paar Polkadots und meinen Boots, um meinen Winter Hippie Look zu komplettieren.

A walk in ice cold wind

Look 2 - Smart Casual at Work

While most of my poor readers in the USA are freezing right now and have a ton of snow, we here in Germany have been missing out on the winter wonderland so far. It's been extremely warm for this time of year, with up to 15 degrees Celsius and more. Crazy weather. Some days we are greeted by an ice cold wind though and these photos were taken during an afternoon walk on one of those days. Mr.B and I really enjoyed the sunshine and took a lot of extra pictures that afternoon! Taking my nice coat of was hard though, because that wind gave me goose bumps in no time.

Während die meisten meiner US Amerikanischen Leser gerade frieren und einen Haufen Schnee haben, lässt das Winterwunderland bei uns noch auf sich warten. Es war extra warm in den letzten Wochen, bis zu 15 Grad Celcius und mehr. Verrückt! An einigen Tagen weht uns zumindest eine steife Brise um die Nase und diese Bilder wurden an einem solchen Tag aufgenommen. Mr.B und ich haben den Sonnenschein genossen und extra viele Fotos gemacht. Nur die Jacke auszuziehen, das viel mir richtig schwer, weil mir der Wind sofort Gänsehaut bereitet hat.

You can't see my feet on these pictures, but I am wearing the biker boots from this month's Shoe of the month challenge. They actually work well with my grey office pants and I can easily wear them as a kind of winter boots to work. The long slacks hide the embellishments and the shoes look more classy automatically. My tip for you: Try to dress your boots up instead of down once or twice. You might be surprised by the versatility of your shoes!

Man kann meine Füße nicht auf den Bildern sehen, aber ich trage die Biker Boots von meinem "Shoe of the month" Projekt. Sie sind sehr gut in Kombination mit meiner grauen Stoffhose und ich kann sie sehr gut als Winterstiefel zur Arbeit tragen. Die langen Hosen verstecken die Schmucksteine und lassen die Schuhe so viel klassischer wirken. 
Mein Tipp für euch: Versucht eure Biker Bookts einmal chic zu stylen anstatt leger. Vielleicht überrascht euch ja die Vielseitigkeit eurer Stiefel!
